The New York Mets, San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays are three clubs likely to improve their bullpen via trade as the season progresses.

While the Mets have received strong innings from their relievers, the bullpen of the Giants and Jays have struggled.

The idea of the Milwaukee Brewers trading away Ryan Braun to begin rebuilding "is becoming more realistic," according to Ken Rosenthal.

Braun can veto a trade to all teams except the Dodgers, Angels, Marlins, Rays and Nationals.

Braun is now 32 and he has four years and $76 million remaining on his contract after this season.

Rosenthal believes it would make sense for Braun to be traded to the Angels but they have a lack of quality prospects.

The Atlanta Braves have reached out to teams looking to trade for competitive balance draft picks.

The Braves want to bolster their number of draft choices and available bonus pool, according to a report.

Atlanta would be willing to take on some bad contracts to facilitate such trades.

The Atlanta Braves have attempted to trade Hector Olivera since his arrest on a charge of misdemeanor assault and battery, according to a report.

Olivera is currently on paid administrative leave while Major League Baseball investigates the alleged incident under the league's domestic violence policy. It is expected that he'll be suspended.

Robinson Chinos has been placed on the disabled list, but Jon Daniels says the Texas Rangers haven't made any calls to acquire a catcher.

"No, nobody has really ... the guys we've heard from the most are the agents who have either free agent catching guys that got released out of camp, or maybe they have a catcher at Triple-A with somebody where maybe they've got an out or want us to trade for them," Daniels said when asked if the Rangers have engaged in trade talks.

"Teams really haven't called. You really don't get a lot of the ambulance chasing stuff - maybe once in a while, teams that have the impact catching, we've talked to. Over the winter we talked to them in and again in spring training. We didn't line up from what they're looking for, and what we were willing to give up for them."

The Chicago Cubs have acquired Giovanni Soto from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for cash considerations.

The Indians designated Soto for assignment last week.

Chicago had space on their 40-man roster after placing Kyle Schwarber on the 60-day disabled list.

Soto, 24, was a 24th-round draft pick of the Detroit Tigers in 2009.

The Arizona Diamondbacks haven't ruled out acquiring a center fielder to replace A.J. Pollock, according to a report.

Pollock will have surgery on his fractured elbow and there is no guarantee that he'll return this season.

The Texas Rangers have yet to name their No. 5 starter as they work through potential trade scenarios.

Texas has discussed potential trades with the Cleveland Indians that would send out a reliever in exchange for a starter.

It seems as though Cody Anderson, Josh Tomlin and Trevor Bauer might be in play.

As many as five teams are showing interest in acquiring Miguel Gonzalez from the Baltimore Orioles, according to a report.

The Chicago White Sox are "aggressively pursuing" his services, while the Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Angels also have some level of interest.

The Orioles placed Gonzalez on waivers Wednesday.
